Coronation of the King - Luke 19:28-40

The newly elected president is preparing for a grand inauguration. When the president of a country takes office, the whole country has a big feast. However, no one prepared a feast for Jesus, the King of salvation and the Messiah of mankind. So Jesus prepared himself for the coronation.

Jesus sent two disciples from the Mount of Olives. “If you go to the opposite village, you will find a tied donkey and a colt together. Bring one of them. If anyone asks why the donkey is loose, say that the Lord will use him. Then I will allow it,” he said.

The disciples spread their cloaks on the back of the colt that they had brought, and the crowd waving palm branches to welcome them, shouting 'Hosanna to the blessed'. Although this incident may seem childish in some ways, the Bible is proclaiming that Jesus is King through his entry into Jerusalem, regardless of whoever admits it or not. So, what kind of King is Jesus?

1. Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

First, Jesus made us peace with God. As sinners, none of us can stand before God who is just, holy, and full of light. You can only stand by faith. The only way to stand before God is to receive forgiveness of sins, to be justified, and to be born again as a child of God in the name of Jesus. There is no true peace for sinners. No matter how good it seems to be living without worries and worries, if you do not have peace with God, you will always feel anxious.

Next, Jesus gives us peace with our neighbors. Real peace comes only when you have good relations with your neighbors. The Lord said, if you can, you should be at peace with all men. It is because peace is to glorify God and to be good to me. Jesus reconciled our enemies through the cross. First is reconciliation with God, then peace with people.

Let us be at peace through Jesus Christ.

2. Jesus is a humble King.

Although Jesus is king, he did not ride on a white horse, but on a young child or on a colt. Because like the prophecy of Zechariah 9:9, Jesus was a man with humility in his body. 'Humility' does not mean bowing down, demeaning yourself, and humble yourself. He refers to the one who is on high coming down to the lowest. Jesus forsook the highest heavenly throne and came down to this low and lowly world. God has promised to give all good things to the humble in the image of Jesus. Humility gives you peace of mind. His yoke is lightened.

The biggest crisis in life is when pride rises. Why is pride so scary? Because pride comes from the devil, the rise of pride means that the devil is claiming me within me. Even if you go to church for a long time and pray a lot, if your heart is arrogant and dull, you will be far from grace. If we remember that the humble receive grace and trust well, and do not leave the place of humility, our hearts will be filled with all the treasures of grace.

3. Jesus is the King of Glory.

When we try to live our lives giving all glory to the Lord, we must know that the light of glory comes from the Lord and we are also glorified. The disciples ran an errand for Jesus. If I go, I go, if I lead, I bring, and I did what I was told. It was used to glorify the Lord through obedience. When the owner of the donkey said that the Lord would use it, he gave it away.

The donkey owner must have been a hidden disciple of the Lord who loved God and had fellowship with Him. Whatever you do, you have to live with the attitude that it belongs to the Lord, not mine. When the colt was used by the Lord, it was bound and released.

When we are used by the Lord, He sets us free. And children and a large crowd welcomed them warmly, waving palm branches and singing 'Hosanna'. The praise and thanksgiving at the right time brought glory to God. Let us also glorify the Lord through obedience and giving, and become those who glorify God through thanksgiving and praise at the right time!

Only our Jesus is the King of Peace, the King of Humility, and the King of Glory.

I bless you with the blessing of having the Lord as my King and being used for His country.
